My Insurance career began after being on tour with a few very popular musical acts in 1999. My father was in the insurance industry for over 40 years and he ran a mid-size GA called Move Pak. We insured movers and provided Commercial Package Policies for various van line systems as well. Starting as a Processor, then graduating to a Rater and then becoming an Underwriter. After 5 years there, I decided to move on to Zurich Insurance Company as my father's company was to close after being sold to Transguard Insurance. I worked in the Middle Markets division under Jason Sauer and Kathy Miller. Great job! Very busy collecting data, use of excel spreadsheets, maintaining files with proper data, BVS, BI Worksheets, Hired-Non-owned Questionnaires and so forth. Data repository and use of Lotus Notes, Pride and other on line mainframe systems.
