Started an energy harvesting program in our laboratory. Areas of focus are solar cells, batteries and interface circuits. Responsible for strategic planning, customer interactions, partnerships, external funding, technical leadership and program management.
Manager of advanced device research. Led strategic transition into 3D Si nano devices and later was put in charge of our broader nanoelectronics effort. Responsible for customer interactions, external funding, oversight of test laboratory, project planning, management of up to 10 people and a $1M budget.
Manager of advanced gate stack research in Motorola Labs. Program and functional manager for ferroelectric and high-K gate stack development. Contributed technically as well as organizationally to develop significant IP in this area as well as to extablish partnerships with national laboratories and universities.
Responsible for initiating the development of new technologies including GaAs Vertical FETs and RF MEMS switches for power switching applications. Developed new process modules, integrated process sequences and worked with internal and external customers to transfer technology to production fabs.
Responsible for simulation, epitaxial structure design, process module development, fabrication, trouble-shooting and characterization of GaAs devices and circuits. Key role in transfer of devices from development lab to production line.
