• Transferred into industry segment ‘Transportation’ (= Auto manufacturers and –suppliers; Railways; Logistic- and Trucking companies; Hotels and Casinos).• Responsible for the underwriting / documentation of excess Casualty participations in F-2000 companies, mainly European and U.S. clients (clients included Ford; Volvo; Michelin; Goodyear; Honeywell; TNT; etc.).• Responsible for London casualty broker marketing activities (= main source for new business of Zurich office).• Negotiations with brokers and clients.• Project manager for the successful analysis of the trucking industry / development of casualty rating tool for trucking accounts.• Support tool development projects.• Close cooperation with claims department.

• IB (today called Corporate Clients division) is SR’s direct insurance unit that deals directly with large corporates worldwide, mostly through brokers.• Oil & Petrochemicals (OPC) was the first unit created to focus on one specific industry segment; it was used internally as a test case to develop additional industry segments if result considered to be positive.• Developed underwriting strategy, guidelines and rating tool to build up portfolio in this new industry segment (clients included Exxon; Shell; Texaco; Dow Chemicals; BASF; Bayer; Hoechst; etc.).• Engaged additional staff over time which I trained, developed and managed (max. 7 underwriters).• Responsible for Casualty marketing activities; built up / maintained network with brokers, mainly in London and the U.S.• Negotiations with brokers and clients.• Cycle management analysis, steering and reporting.• Closely cooperated with claims department.• Actively involved in development and successful implementation of non-traditional solutions for two clients.

• Responsible for organisation / management of a Casualty team, with all aspects involved, including employment and termination of contracts (3 underwriters plus 1 to 2 trainees).• Responsible for the premium- and expense budget / -development of the unit.• Job activities: as below.
