Over the course of 7 years my responsibilities grew from posting membership premium payments, to a much larger role within the Finance department. Responsibilities included the production of internal GAAP financial statements and external statutory financial statements, preparing monthly statements and a management discussion and analysis for the Board of Directors' as well as a financial presentations delivered by the CFO to the Board, serving as the primary point of contact with external auditors on interim and annual financial statement audits, completing regular reporting with state and federal regulatory agencies, ad hoc reporting for purposes of determining key drivers of financial performance and trends, month-end journal entries and account reconciliations, and many more.
