Designed support and atmosphere control structures for high energy density fusion cladding system. Utilized ANSYS to approximate the behavior of different substrates in the fusion cladding process. Designed blasting container to be used in production similar to an assembly line. Designed sample testing apparatus for use under the Plasma Arc Lamp at the NASA Glenn Research Center via a Space Act agreement between NASA and MesoCoat, Inc.

Research Engineer position at Powdermet included conducting research experiments for NASA SBIR funded projects under the Powdermet, Inc. SynFoam product line. Researched materials to mix with carbon fibers to create a low thermal conductivity, high strength material. Worked with pre-ceramic polymers using curing and pyrolizing of the materials to create new properties.
