CurrentKurt joined Sharp in April 2005. After 13 years in the manufacturing industry, he decided to change course and join healthcare. Most recently his leadership of the Emergency Department Lean initiative at Sharp Memorial Hospital has contributed to the department’s ability to handle a significant increase in patient volume with a disproportionate increase in expense, while improving patient satisfaction and length-of-stay. On a larger scale, his teaching and mentoring of change leaders across the entire organization have helped the Lean Six Sigma Department grow in reach effectiveness and reputation. Show less
