• Performs assessment and treatment for extensive caseload in both outpatient and inpatient hospital of a Level II Trauma Center• Participates in multidisciplinary clinic with physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors to develop comprehensive treatment plans for complex neurologically impaired patients• Leads Regional Speech Therapy Practice Group for collaborative problem solving on challenges in workflow, complex patient populations and regional education / training• Co-leads Labor Management Partnership Workload Committee• Responsible for the onboarding and training of newly hired Speech Pathologists• Specializes in adult neurorehabilitation for acute brain injuries, strokes and progressive neurological conditions• Performs bedside and clinical swallow evaluations to assess aspiration risk and provide diet texture and liquid consistency recommendations• Conducts and interprets modified barium swallow studies• Extensive experience with tracheostomies and speaking valves• Conducts Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device evaluations• Experience with acute head and neck cancer surgeries and follow-up care• Develops curriculum for the Kaiser Parkinson’s Speech Group and conducts in-person and virtual groups• Mentors and facilitates speech pathology students completing externships • Consistent in achieving targeted member patient satisfaction scores
