• Review RFPs and draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts and proposals• Review agreements and award documents to assure compliance with federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies• Provide final contract/proposal review and signature authority on applications• Work with sponsors and other UI departments to resolve post-award issues• Represent UI to sponsors or external organizations. • Review and endorse prior approval requests and official communication on behalf of UI• Provide direction, assignments, feedback, coaching, and counseling to research staff• Negotiate budgets for accuracy and compliance with UI and sponsor policies/guidelines

OPERATIONS • Negotiate and amend contracts in adherence with State of Iowa laws and University policies• Work independently and collaboratively for efficient task completion• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to the highest ethical and legal standards• Introduce new contract processes to the Operations Division to efficiently manage the processingand execution of contracts to reduce turnaround times to less than 48 hours• Train external departments and new staff hires on the University’s procurement process andsoftware systems• Take leadership initiative to promote the overall goals and objectives for administrative andoperational activities• Exhibit excellent people and communication skills with high performance standards• Implement strategies to raise departmental morale• Resolve issues and implement effective solutions by working together with external departments,Purchasing, University Shared Services, and vendors• Manage and monitor vendor invoices to ensure compliance with contract terms.• Manage data for items and inventory for the University of Iowa Hospital and campus storesPROCUREMENT• Develop effective and efficient training materials for the University Purchasing website• Communicate policies and operations updates to University Departments via e-mail, phone, andin-person presentations• Draft UI Board of Regents approval memos for purchases exceeding $500,000• Coordinate competitive bids on behalf of University departments, campus, and Regents• Utilize technical and analytical tools to document, assess, and analyze information to supportprocurement decisions in adherence with State and Regent guidelines• Assist in saving the University an initial $600,000 - $700,000 per year with extended savingsover the next 25 consecutive years by constructing an energy conservation bid• Track multiple projects resultant in the procurement of products and services exceeding $25,000

• Perform on-ice promotions during games• Coordinate individuals for ice maintenance during timeouts• Train interns for game day responsibilities and procedures• Maintain functionality of equipment used for giveaways • Operate lighting equipment for team introductions and pre-game programs

• Manage staff and daily operations to achieve quarterly labor percentage goals• Initiate programs to improve consistency and quality in restaurant standards• Coach impeccable customer service in a fast-paced environment • Implement visual marketing strategies to increase restaurant traffic• Remedy pricing discrepancies for inventory management• Track company performance through daily inventory and sales summary records• Utilize online ordering systems for weekly company purchases

• Create digital and print ads for UI Technology Centers and Cambus system• Conduct surveys to target participating students' interests and boost attendance• Coordinate recreational activities for over 400 students
