Created applications supporting the new product Stratys, that provides high throughput of Optical Genome Mapping. Utilizing skills for controlling motion, image analysis, and complex algorithm creation as well as electrical engineering and embedded software, I created the software to coordinate the machine, adjust and tune lasers, test stages and motors, create and read barcodes, and software for bring up, and quality control.

Developed Python software embedded for Variscite SOM immunoassay reader running distro derived from Yocto.   Wrote LIS/Iot  interfaces,  Cloud connectivity,  and IoT.   Also created product for Bluetooth control of many devices in C#.  Created “Lab Partner” software for design of experiments,  result collection, and processing with Azure cloud using MSAL, Cloud Containers, and other new technologies.

Developed C embedded software for ST Micro controller running FreeRtos that controlled precise timing on a device used to generate high powered Xrays for inspection of shipping containers. Developed the MQTT interface, TFTP, interface and created a GUI to display diagnostics in C# and WPF. Used best practices with MVVM, Autofac, AutoMapper, Git, as well as Agile programming techniques.

Worked on MyAccess product which interfaced with Panther Fusion. This software was used to setup assays and process them using PCR and reagents. Product utilized WPF, C# and SciCharts charting tools.

Worked with large team of engineers utilizing TDD, Unit tests, Solid design principles and Agile processes to create control software for companies automated dispensing robotic machines used by large manufactures of electronics. Wrote software that utilized IPC to communicate between processes, created wizards to make recipes and perform automatic layouts for silicon wafer processing. Refined algorithms utilizing machine vision to identify fiducials and parts. Job required a large amount of testing, troubleshooting, and verification of functionality on hardware. Participated in code review, extreme programming techniques such as pair and mob programming.

Developed WPF enterprise applications that were touch enabled for therapy laser and X-ray systems. Used MVC 5, Razor, SignalR and Entity Framework to create the companies support, update, and licensing portals. Made software that bridged gaps between companies Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Aptean ERP systems. Created software to show CT and MRI in three dimensions for veterinary market using C#. Worked within the DICOM standard to export/import images and modalities across internet. Developed specialized algorithms for cropping and enhancing images in C++. Wrote software to interface and capture images off X-ray receptor plates. Developed microprocessor control box for synchronization of multiple different vendor’s receptor plates with multiple vendor’s x-ray generators

Worked on test software for the Secure Communications Upgrade of the SATCOM Datalink system for the Predator UAV. This test app was modified in C++ and a follow on C# program was used to replace it. This test system uses an advanced protocol for the encryption of messages and data. Developed internal applications for time keeping and project management.

Responsible for designing and maintaining software for a completely unattended and automated Large (10,000 plate) Protein Crystallography Storage and Inspection System. This system utilized UML state machines, Vbasic 6.0 motion control and scheduling application performing SQL database queries to perform storage of plate images using .NET, VB 6.0, C++, Oracle, SQL, and DCOM.

Duties included design and implementation of applications that supported the internal infrastructure of the company similar to a combined ERP and CRM system. Most of the development was done using VB for the front and middle tier using ActiveX and COM libraries.

Developed command and control software for capital machine equipment used for discovering new compounds by large pharmaceutical companies. Using VB to interface with DeviceNet, RS232, RS48, Barcode, Stepper and Servo Motors, IO, and PLC devices, we controlled motion, evaporation, heating, vacuum, and sorting processes.

Programming in support of Epic Solutions’ Total Offender Management System (TOMS), a 3-Tier object oriented Enterprise application used to track offenders from sentencing through final prison discharge. This program is based on an MDI interface allowing major functional components to be cross-referenced. Developed business classes, controls, and created User Interfaces for several major parts including discharge, temporary release, grants, and escapes. Maintained data model, tuned oracle performance, coordinated multi-user load testing with Win Runner, and wrote PL/SQL procedures for data access.

Project Leader. Managed the design and development of Visual Basic data reduction programs to process data. Developed software in Visual Basic, C, C++, and LabView to process and collect data obtained by modern radar and electronic test vans and archive that data in SQL databases.Test Engineer for the WALLEYE video guided glide bomb. Duties included the coordination of the east and west coast laboratory activities, module testing, test set modification, supervision of technicians, and data reporting. Main fields of experience are video operation, high frequency data-links, HPIB equipment and automated test equipment design
