I currently serve as the End User Delivery, Cloud Services & Support Manager for the County of Orange. I lead a team of 35 information systems professionals that support over 7500 users and manage a multi million dollar systems budget. Our customers include Probation, OCPW, CSS, OCCR, OCWR & OCIT (and assist other departments as required, including staffing needs). My primary responsibilities include supervision/team, project management, budget management, contract negotiations, and contract development. I am responsible for the multiple County Departments systems development, cloud service, service desk, end user support, implementation, and enterprise solutions. I make an effort in staying up to date with today’s changing technology such as Windows, Servers Cloud Services and Enterprise rollout implementation. I understand the Orange County goal is to get information to people who need it when they need it, where they need it, and to do that efficiently. Following the County’s policies and procedures, I help with developing requests for County wide proposals. I pay attention to important details when evaluating County wide network bids and other contract negotiations like with the County’s contracted employees such as Microsoft Select, and I perform other administrative tasks. I also plan, develop, administer, and monitor the local area network projects. I structure activities to maximize the integrity and speed of the supported networks. I evaluate and modify hardware/software for standards. I provide project leadership and advice to high-level steering committees. I provide technical direction along with expertise relating to existing software as well as functioning as a technical advisor for other Department staff members. I accept ownership and take complete responsibility for any job I do. I identify work related problems; find what the solution is; and make recommendations for implementing a more effective and costly solution.
