I am a qualified teacher who ensures that high quality teaching occurs through differentiation and inclusion. I don’t believe that teachers are separate entities but rather part of a whole school collegial group. It is through this working group that positive culture, support and excellent resource and lesson sharing can occur. I believe teachers will always learn throughout their careers and we can do that from each other. For me, academia and personal and social skills go hand in hand. Without one the other will never truly be able to thrive. Cross-curriculum approaches allows this to take place and I thoroughly enjoy finding new and exciting ways to embed different curriculum into lessons to maximise the potential for learning.Primary education is key to setting up students for a strong future. Child development is an area I am incredibly passionate about. It is vital to know each student, their strengths, educational capacity and areas that need improvement, so that I can target individual supports for each child. Throughout my practical experiences I worked closely with parents. Many wanted to know how they could support their child in school and it was important for me to work in a solution focussed framework where I could discover the skills that they already used and translate these into educational support. Embracing core values is key to adopting a role in any school, it is these values that create the whole school culture of which you are part. It is important to grow with the school and demonstrate excellence both in the class and out, to role model for young people how to be; honest, responsible, confident, caring, passionate, respectful, conscientious, self-reflective, patient, expressive and successful in life, education and work.
