Progressively responsible position first as a unix/linux administrator, then WebSphere admin, and eventually technical team leader.• WebSphere Application Server Level 3 Operational support• Designed and implemented infrastructure solution for a shared J2EE environment supporting 225 + applications including Intranet, B2B and B2C sites.• Managed two diverse operational teams, with as many as 15 direct reports.• Developed Global WebSphere operational support model, supporting an environment consisting of 200 + installations of WebSphere Application Server 5.0.x.• Designed and launched an automated WebSphere Deployment Framework utilizing JACL and PERL allowing for 1500+ deployments per month.• Lead a team of 8 WAS infrastructure technicians providing 99.95% uptime for all Ford North American WAS applications.• Lead Architecture Design teams, developing and recommending solutions for diverse J2EE applications, from simple “single sign on” applications to build and price your car apps (i.e. www.buildyourlincolnmercury.com; www.fordvehicles.com)• Managed major migrations from WAS 3.5 to 4.0 (30 Apps), then WAS 4.0 to 5.0.2 (70 apps), and WAS 5.0.2 to WAS 6.1 (200 + apps).• Responsible for annual budget of 1 million dollars, developing cost models, forecasting and auditing.• Took part in security and controls creation for WAS environments in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.• Led project management for successful cross-functional in sourcing of over 300 web applications and servers.• Conceptualized, created, and implemented IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) –based Problem Management team, resolving complex issues and recommending preventions.
