I worked as the software developer on several web applications designed to assist nonprofit organizations with their fundraising efforts. The primary application is called Greater Giving Online or GGO. This is an asp.net 4.7 Web Forms application that uses AJAX, Typescript/jQuery, and Telerik controls extensively for the UI. Also contains a typescript application using Kendo and Web services. The backend is C# and SQL. The primary focus of the application is to give organizations a way to manage charity events and fundraising efforts. As of 2017 the majority of our work was to update GGO to use Angular 7 as the front end and updating the backend to produce data and business rules via web services.

Produced a software bundle for Metereaders Inc. The applications for this company are used to read water meters on Pocket PC handhelds, transfer to desktop PCs, produce reports and raw data dumps for various governing entities, maintain and setup water districts for reading and routing. These are custom applications built for this company’s specific needs. The handheld system is written using C# on the Compact Framework and the desktop application is written in C# and SQL Server.

Developed for the website portion of a Truck Point-Of-Sale system. ASP based interface, VB6 and C# middle-tier, SQL or DB2 databases, and web services. The web UI used ASP, HTML, CSS, and Java and VB Scripting. The middle tier contained heavy and somewhat dynamic business logic. My biggest accomplishment on this project was to turn what was a patchwork of a half dozen small apps by successive programmers into a manageable, connected and coherent series of apps. Made much more use of CSS to give all the apps the same look and reduced the size of the codebase by half by creating central libraries.

Chrome Systems is a software company that creates software for the automotive dealership market. The software is designed to assist in configuring and pricing cars and their various options. At the time this was a VB6 application.

Produced training material for MSDN training seminars through 3Leaf Consulting. The latest project was for Office 2003 using Word and Excel with the new XML and Web Services features. Wrote Labs, Slides and Demos for presentation. Involved creating complete projects with SQL, stored procedures, VB.NET, Web Services with ASP.NET, XML, XSD, XSLT, Office VBA and detailed knowledge of the Excel and Word Object Model.

Majority of the development done in VMS VAX Basic, Visual Basic 6/VBA, SQL Server 7, 2000 and Access 2000, XML, XSL, ADO, SQL/T-SQL, and ASP Web Pages for the company intranet. The majority of the projects were of an Intranet/client-server nature. The business and data layers were created as COM+ objects and maintained in Microsoft Transaction Server and data was stored on Access and SQL Server. In order to present data to clients (Accountants for Unicapital) data had to be moved from the VMS system to SQL and Access Reports were generated with Excel Objects and Crystal Reports. A major project was an extensive reporting system for the Unicapital financial groups. Reports were initiated by either email or ASP page. The reports returned in the form of Excel workbooks created by a VB COM application. These reports were huge business reports in the form of Excel spreadsheets designed for credit and risk assessment of leases.

EDI CoordinatorResponsibilities include analyzing project requirements, designing system solutions, creating programming specifications and data mapping for various glass shops and their insurance billing needs. Additionally, performed system and customer acceptance testing, support EDI communication, and coordinate efforts of programming resources.Major AccomplishmentsCreated an Internet application designed to hit up to 30 different secure FTP sites for sending and receiving EDI data. Application was written in VB and all data was stored in Access databases. Since becoming EDI Coordinator and implementing several research tools, workload associated with EDI station has been reduced from two FT positions to one PT position. At the time we were supporting 2800 glass shops and 34 insurance companies.ProgrammerResponsible for developing ActiveX library routines in VB 5, with emphasis on the WIN32 API, to be used in in-house development and commercial software. Support Technician Provided phone support to GlasPac customers. Programmed custom applications in Access and VBA to interface with the GlasPac Point of Contact database.
