Coaching Executive Leaders, Managers, and staff in the implementation and management of their improvement work. Facilitation of complex systemwide improvement initiatives using advanced improvement methods and mindset. Training of OHSU's Performance Excellence System (OPEx) to help develop effective internal performance improvement capabilities of Directors, Managers, and frontline staff. Some projects include: helping a team working on Advance Care Planning wrap up a two-year project; Facilitating teams of Surgeons, Providers, Rn's, Managers, and Care Managers in the Cardio and Neuro service lines to help with the re-engineering of the discharge process to help reduce the overall length of stay and discharge lag time of patients by thinking of discharge before surgery; Coaching a team of Physicians and RN's to roll out items to improve our status as an Age Friendly Health System.

Worked with leaders to create Lean Cultures in different departments by gaining an understanding of desired behaviors and then creating or revamping systems in order to get the desired behaviors. Worked with caregivers, managers, and directors by getting them involved with improvements using different Lean tools and projects. Coached managers and directors from solely thinking about Lean tools to a Lean Philosophy mentality in order for them to start to work on developing a Lean Culture within their units. Was involved in a number of improvement projects to improve things such as earlier discharges, reducing falls, and improving the ED rate for administering antibiotics within 1-hour for sepsis patients.

Developed a Lean culture on the manufacturing floor across different shifts and throughout 3 separate locations. Helped strengthened existing Lean tools such as Tier Management system, Continuous Improvement Idea system, and 5S audits. Implemented new Lean tools such as Standard Work, SMED, Kanban, Leader Standard Work, Company Lean assessment, TPM checklists, and accountability boards. Created and implemented an internal Lean training where we taught over 500 people our 12-hour bronze training and over 100 people in our 72-hour silver training. Led 23 Kaizen events, A3 projects, and Value Stream Mapping projects. I also trained and coached 14 Engineers, Supervisors, Leads, and silver graduates to lead Kaizen events on their own.
