Kurt Weaver is the Director The Church Ambassador Network for the Pennsylvania Family Institute in Harrisburg, PA. Prior to working for PA Family, Kurt spent over eleven years in pastoral ministry caring for people with the gospel of Jesus Christ and is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA and the Pastors College in Louisville, KY. Kurt understands the dynamics of ministry leadership and wants to equip church leaders to play a significant role in their communities and to be informed of the current dangers facing the church. Prior to being a pastor, Kurt worked in the christian music industry as a artist manager, concert and festival promotor, and radio promotions director. Kurt is married to Renee and together they have eight children, he is driven to see a greater gospel influence in this world today and for future generations.

Kurt graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastors College in 2006, and joined the Crossway pastoral staff that June. Since that time, Kurt has taken over our parent/youth ministry (doxa), evangelism and outreach, served as our Sunday meeting administrator, and headed up our media development. Among other things, Kurt is gifted in communication, team building, collaboration, and managing people and volunteers. Kurt is also heavily involved in the community with organizations such as GO Beyond (a multi-church mercy ministry) and The National Day of Prayer. Kurt graduated from Lancaster Bible College with a B.S. in Bible and Christian Ministry in 2013.

From 1996 to 2005 Kurt created and defined the position of Promotions Director at WJTL. Kurt connected WJTL with the community by promoting other organizationsʼ events, taking part in their fundraisers, and giving other non-profit organizations in our community an opportunity to tell their story via WJTL. Kurt created a philosophy of community involvement that we still strive to attain to this day. Kurt also represented WJTL at many live events, spoke to church organizations, and cultivated donor andsponsor relations. He also utilized media and marketing in order to promote WJTL.

Kurt was employed as an Account Representative at Engle Business Systems from 1991 through 1996. During his tenure at EBS Kurt was responsible for cultivating customer relations with existing accounts as well as gaining new accounts in Lancaster County. Kurt was very successful at building strong business relationships. Skills that Kurt learned quite well were: communication, writing, negotiating, and cultivating healthy business relationships.
