Led a high performing team of public involvement and communications professionals for one of the largest transit projects in the U.S., major extensions of Sound Transit’s Link light rail system.These multi-billion dollar capital projects will connect downtown Seattle to Bellevue, Mercer Island, Redmond, Kent, Des Moines, SeaTac and Federal Way, WA. Light rail tracks travel through tunnels, at grade, elevated and for the first time in history, across a floating bridge.

In 2016, I made a pivotal career shift, leaving a large multi-national consulting firm to gain a deeper understanding of public sector outreach, community involvement, and communications. My goal was to learn the intricacies of the client side of the industry. This transition allowed me to foster a more direct connection with my community, building relationships with the people who live, work, and travel in our region.In this role, I led integrated marketing and communications strategies to increase ridership, focusing on youth (ages 13-24) and diverse, underrepresented populations. I also directed public relations efforts, serving as the spokesperson for media stories and generating over 50 positive news stories in 2017 alone. Additionally, I managed digital media efforts, increasing our social media reach by over 2,000 percent, and oversaw the production of print, radio, television, and digital advertising.
