Transitioning from an entertainment background, my role as Creative Marketing Manager at JubahSouq marked my first foray into the retail business. Despite initial apprehensions, my problem-solving skills and adaptability enabled me to quickly immerse myself in the fashion industry.During my two-hour interview, I proposed comprehensive plans for the brand, including corporate colors and branding strategies, which were instrumental in pushing JubahSouq to new heights. In this role, I focused on planning and executing marketing campaigns, significantly increasing sales during the Ramadhan month from RM800k in 2015 to RM4.2mil in 2016.I expanded JubahSouq's presence through radio, Facebook, and Instagram ads, converting new customers into loyal fans. I spearheaded offline marketing initiatives such as popup displays, handouts, catalogs, and booth decorations at expos and shopping fairs, including the MoodRepublic Raya Festival.I organized events for new boutique openings and launched "Pencarian Wajah JubahSouq," a beauty pageant-style event in hijab, and ran customer engagement campaigns like lucky draws to build a robust customer database of over 8,000+ contacts, which fueled our email marketing efforts.Additionally, I designed booth communications for Muslim fashion expos across Malaysia, enhancing brand awareness among visitors. I launched the JubahSouq Magazine, organized fashion shows for the new "JS Premeur" brand, and managed high-end campaign positioning for "JS Premeur."

  • Vain Music
    Founder / Event Organizer
    Vain Music Jun 2007 - Jun 2010
    Sungai Buloh, Selangor, Malaysia
At the age of 20, I founded Vain Music Records, marking a pivotal moment in my early career. As a band member and university dropout with a passion for music, I organized my first gig, which sparked my interest in event planning and management. This newfound passion led me to venture into event organizing, where I discovered the joy of using my creativity and problem-solving skills in a practical setting.Over the course of three years, I organized numerous gigs and music festivals, starting with small events and growing into large-scale productions. One of my early successes was the "JengJengJeng" gig at Annexe, Central Market in January 2008, which generated RM20,000 in profit. This success was fueled by innovative guerilla marketing strategies, including street promotions and leveraging MySpace, an early form of social media digital marketing.Throughout 2008, I continued to organize bi-monthly gigs, primarily at MCPA Hall, near Jalan Maharajalela. The underground indie music scene was booming, and Vain Music quickly became a well-known name among gig-goers. Our notable events included "Hotstage," "IndieNation Fest," and "It's A Gig, Dude!"In June 2008, I co-organized the largest indie festival in Malaysia at KL Tower, named KL Indie Fest '08. The festival spanned three days, attracting a total of 25,000 attendees, with 12,000 on the final day alone. This achievement made me the youngest music festival organizer in Malaysia to draw such a large crowd at just 21 years old. Following this success, I organized three more shows at KL Tower and partnered with KL Tower Management for the KL Base Jump music festival, touring five cities across Malaysia, including Sarawak, Sabah, Kedah, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur.I organized over 30 gigs and 10 mid to large-scale festivals. I also signed several indie underground bands to our record label, including Asthalin, Half-Asleep, and Kid N' Xera, contributing to the growth and development of the local indie music scene.
