National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) Follow-up Study of Children's Behavioral and Emotional Health conducted for the National Center for Health Statistics, US Department of Health and Human Services - Interviewed parents of children ages 4–17 years and youth 12–17 years by phone using the parent and child versions of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Assessment (CAPA) and Preschool Age Psychiatric Assessment (PAPA) and consolidated interview data into empirical form for scoring.- Recruited adult and youth respondents, communicating the value and requirements of the study in addition to successfully recognizing and addressing the concerns of reluctant sample members to increase participation to better inform the study- Traced sample members who could not be located by using multiple databases and various aspects of public information

Rehabilitate individuals to foster more beneficial interactions with society, family, and self.- Provided support for child with ADHD, ODD, depression and obesity by engaging child in exciting activities, encouraging fitness, and volunteering at a horse farm resulting in better hygiene, becoming more social, and involvement with events at the child’s school- Assisted young adult with MMR, ADHD, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder with peer interaction and social functioning through coordinated activities enabling him to become independent in dealing with daily expectations such as doing laundry and correctly conducting transactions at stores and restaurants- Rehabilitated elder gentleman who had been repeatedly incarcerated since he was 17, diagnosed with schizophrenia, anti-social disorder, kleptomania, and other mental health concerns by working with government agencies and the local community to provide ways to take control of his life by working, acquiring a license and vehicle, and learning new ways to cope with his disorders
