I am nearing the completion of a nine month contract as Council’s General Manager, Community and Corporate Services. This General Manager role has five direct reports, leads a Directorate of 64 employees and reports directly to Council’s Chief Executive Officer.My major achievements include:• Strategic Planning – Council’s Community Vision, Council Plan, 10 Year Financial Plan, Budget development process and 2020/21 Annual Report.• Operational Reviews - Aged Care Services, Visitor Information Services, Youth Services, Revenue Services, Early Years Services and Customer Service Charter and numerous policy reviews.• Grant Funding application - Mansfield Emergency Services Precinct ($790,000).• Technology Strategy – Digital Transformation Strategy

This was a three month contract as Capital Works Coordinator and project support officer at the Mansfield Shire Council that enabled me to resume full time employment.My major achievement was the contract management and project oversight of over $12 million in Council capital works projects.

After several years of part-time trading, I became a full-time trader of Contracts For Difference, commodity futures and Foreign Exchange contracts. As an active technical trend trader I used a rigorously back tested multiple timeframe Ichimoku-based trading system to generate price-based setups, triggers and stop losses and followed immutable risk management rules.

The 17 boards will take over the management of resources and staff as part of a widespread decentralisation of the Queensland health system.The Health and Hospitals Network legislation will take effect from July 1, with boards becoming responsible for their own finances.

Members include the world's third largest alumina refinery, Australia’s largest cement works and Queensland’s largest power station. The Group promotes transparent sustainable development and industry engagement with Gladstone's community and businesses.

Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited (GAPDL) has a charter to promote and develop the Gladstone Region. GAPDL is a non-for-profit organisation founded in 1983. The organisation was formed to meet a community and business need for a representative organisation to coordinate and promote tourism and economic growth, together with a goal of improving the city’s image. Today, GAPDL is the lead economic, tourism and community development agency of the Gladstone Region. The organisation represents a strong membership of some 450 organisations - authorities, industries, large and small firms, businesses and community organisations.

As part of Amlink Technologies’ acquisition by Certain Software out of San Francisco, I sold my equity in the company (good timing as it turned out). As I had accomplished my goals for the organisation and looking for a change, I handed over my responsibilities and resigned. I've spent nine months travelling and catching up with family in Victoria, Tasmania and WA.

Managed delivery and customer relations for $7.5 million of technology supplied by IBM, Telstra, Fuji Xerox, Swiss Timing & Panasonic in five Sydney Olympic venues.

Part of a Change Team in a $20 million per year organisation upgraded manufacturing and inventory systems and enforced OH&S compliance that improved productivity by 70 percent.

Implemented engineer services for United Nations Peacekeeping missions in Guatemala, Haiti, Kuwait and Tajikistan.

Contracts Manager of Defence facilities maintenance organisation where I tendered and managed annual contracts worth $15 million.

Completed multiple projects with highlights being a wharf at Lombrum, Manus Island, Papua New Guinea, multiple water supply systems in the islands of Vanuatu, roads and airfields in Namibia, South West Africa and a military engineering exchange with the British Army.
