Kurt’s involvement in the family farming operation for the past 30 years has provided a strong foundation for his work as an agent dealing with agricultural properties. Working in the real estate business since 1996, his knowledge base has expanded to include development, commercial and recreational properties which often involves situations focusing on planning and zoning, 1031 exchanges, government programs, lease options, and wetlands mitigations among others. In 2006, Kurt's first year with United Country Missouri Land & Home in Columbia, MO, he ranked 23rd in the nation with the franchise, further illustrating his professional care and expertise with each project. Kurt is now broker/owner of United Country Missouri Land & Home. During his leadership, the company has been awarded the Master Salesman Award in 2009, and in 2010 & 2011, the Columbia office was named the #2 & #4 office respectively. Most recently, the Columbia office was named the #1 office in the nation in 2012 for the United Country franchise. With a continuing focus on growth and customer service, Kurt and his commercial team formed an additional Columbia, MO office, United Country-Commercial in 2012 and a new team with a residential emphasis will be in place in 2013. Kurt also serves as the corporate United Country Real Estate’s National Farm Director.
