Program manager for an outdoor winter play grant received. Duties include budget monitoring, progress reports, and evaluation plans to ensure we are hitting short, intermediate and long term goals. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders from across Canada towards a common goal to improve outdoor winter play for youth. Plan and host many community events ranging from workshops to carnivals with the goal of community engagement and cost free participation.

Coordinated various sports programs while working with other crew members and passengers from over 70 different countries in both North America and Europe. Interpersonal skills and customer service were of the utmost priority while adhering to very strict safety regulations. Delivered and hosted various sport programs to people of all ages plus assisted in two medical emergencies.

Thailand

Participated in a 3-month service-learning course in Rayong Thailand called Play Around The World. The program allowed for the opportunity to enhance global awareness and give leadership opportunities to promote physical activity through sport and play at different schools and organizations.

Parks And Recreation Dept

Duties included organizing, implementing and leading activities for sports day camp. Learned to work effectively with participants who did not speak any English. Adapted the play to include those in wheelchairs or who had other disabilities.

Supervised youth in both gym and camp settings. Trained to deliver the YMCA core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Learned to deal with the diversity of different ethnic backgrounds and age groups.

Officiated youth soccer where my responsibility was to enforce the rules impartially and control the match so that the players were rewarded with a positive game experience.
