Kurt's tech career started with connecting People through local Internet Service Providers in the 90’s; then by moving into IT he began connecting Places. During this period, the importance of connecting Things became clear which lead to his next move into wireless. During his roughly ten years with Verizon, he assisted companies with their mobility strategy, as well as successfully developed and launched the M2M practice and Partnership Program for the Texas region. He was then recruited by Stream Technologies to develop a strategic partnership ecosystem and drive platform adoption with cellular, satellite and low power wide-area network (LPWAN) partners. This exposed him to the industry need for LPWAN ecosystems to both diversify connectivity options and challenge traditional models. Next, he founded Excelerated Technology Consulting to offer much-needed services around Modeling, Strategy, and Go-To-Market to get from Ideation to Implementation. In parallel to launching ETC he has become either a co-founder, board member, or trusted advisor to hundreds of companies around the world which has been incredibly gratifying. Additionally, Kurt enjoys regularly giving talks on the impact of emerging technologies like IoT, IIoT, Blockchain, AI, ML, and AR/VR to audiences at meetups and global conferences.
