Acrison has presented new and interesting challenges for me in designing equipment serving various industries including food processing, cannabis, natural gas, and water treatment. Although working on Acrison’s dry solids feeding and metering technology marks a departure from my strong background in process piping and pressure vessels, the experience I’ve gained in that field has helped me make this transition successfully. My familiarity with the shop floor environment and welding practices combined with my outsider’s perspective has allowed me to affect creative solutions while avoiding expensive pitfalls. • Designed a novel, pneumatically actuated, cam based mechanism for safely locking a scale during heavy product loading operations. • Incorporated a safety interlock into an old design without interfering with existing laser cutting programs. • Composed a standard calculation sheet for consistently sizing augers to reduce errors and avoid rework.

The relative autonomy I enjoy in this position has allowed me to devise and employ design and process improvements so as to bring the companies' gas generation products into code compliance and to maximize performance and manufacturability.
