As of April 2019 Kurt started his new professional life as independent Board Member and as Member of Investment Committees. Until end of March 2019 Kurt worked more than 24 years at PwC and acted 15 years as a Partner. in various functions.Head of the Deals practice and the Real Estate Industry team at PwC Switzerland with an unparalleled experience in advising Real Estate clients on Executive Management, Valuation, M&A, Due Diligence, Commercial and Digital Real Estate topics. Kurt has led numerous transaction, valuation and consulting assignments over the past 20 years. His major focus and experience are in real estate corporate finance (share/asset transactions, due diligence services) and real estate valuations.Kurt joined PwC in February 1995, before gaining the Partner position in 2004. In 2013 he has been elected a member of the companies’ Swiss Oversight Board (SOB).Kurt is a frequent speaker and panelist at various Real Estate events and roundtables of NZZ, University of Zürich, University of Berne, GDI, and PwC. He is author of thought-leading articles about the future of the Swiss Real Estate (RE) markets, RE valuation, RE transactions and RE due diligence. He co-authored the book “Swiss Valuation Standards (SVS) - Best Practice of Real Estate Valuation in Switzerland”, 2007/2012. His newer publications mainly comprise research articles about the Real Estate market, Technology, Digitalization and Leadership.As a lecturer at leading educational institutions throughout Switzerland (CUREM Center for Urban and Real Estate Management at University of Zürich, ZHAW School of Management and Law in Zurich, Lucerne University, and IFZ Zug) Kurt shares his knowledge about Real Estate Valuation and Due Diligence with several Real Estate Master Courses.
