I started my career as an engineer as I discovered that I truly enjoyed solving problems and inventing new ways or products that produced solutions where none existed. The engineer part of me still loves to constantly look for ways to improve and refine existing methods / products to capture as much efficiency and eliminate waste while cutting costs without compromising quality.The strategic part of my job requires critical thinking in order to translate the executive vision into operational execution via gap analysis and developing roadmaps. I also act as a process improvement champion and change agent proactively working to eliminate potential obstacles while also providing real-time, focused troubleshooting that designs permanent, quality-driven fixes to chronic root causes of issues.I also function as a financial guardian ensuring that budgets stay within guardrails to avoid scope or cost creep. However, I do maintain some flex to be able to capitalize upon unanticipated opportunities without overspending while delivering additional value.Management-wise, my leadership style is people-centric. I have empathy, compassion, and a sincere desire to achieve company success and employee personal development, and I always put my team first. They end up being top performers because I take the time to assemble the right skill sets, clear operational roadblocks out of their way, and act as an advocate so they can succeed.
