I’ve always been fascinated by technology and how it can make our lives easier. When I learned of Futurity and how they had a special gift of developing software that is so intuitive and so productive, it was easy for me to say yes, I want to work here.So, how does a person start in Radio Promotions and Marketing and end up as a Director of Sales for a SaaS Company? In 1996, I left the media industry as a marketing director to join a company who figured out how to deliver mass recorded messages via telephone. This technology fascinated me where I started to champion ways to use it to help in finding missing children, evacuating people from disasters and harm’s way, and disseminating important information to communities quickly. That was the path in how I found my way into the emergency management and public safety space. I’ve always looked up to organizations who approach things differently and admire companies who build their organization with hard-working staff members, leadership with strong ethics, ingenuity, vision, and pioneering development. Futurity has all of that and is why I happily joined the team in 2015. Futurity’s goal of creating software tools that assist managers in transforming their organizations with technology to help its customers streamline workflow and positively impact their communities during both blue and gray sky days. Our intuitive GIS and mobile-enabled software tools assist in communication, coordination and collaboration between government, NGO’s and the private sector. While our software is often used for managing the worst natural disasters, it also delivers value on a day-to-day basis to improve operations and efficiencies. We work hard to ensure that our customers can depend on our technology during the most difficult of times and each and every day.
