As the CEO and Founder of Shore Crypto, I was on a mission to build the world's next generation system for providing risk capital in reinsurance. I used my expertise in fintech and crypto to create a platform that connects investors, insurers, and reinsurers through crypto protocols and smart contracts.Before that, I co-founded and led technology for PayNearMe, a payments fintech that is a complete payment experience and payment management platform. PayNearMe enables merchants to take payments across most types of tender. I was responsible for the transaction, financial, security, risk, and compliance components of the platform and networks. I managed and mentored a team of talented engineers. I also devised the original concept and wrote or oversaw the implementation of the core systems, including multiple patented technologies.I have 30 years of experience in the fintech, insuretec, and crypto, spanning software development, architecture, strategy, and management. I have a deep knowledge of payment systems, secure systems, cryptocurrencies and DeFi, oversight of regulatory compliance, security audits, risk management, and privacy. I have successfully launched and scaled several ventures in regulated financial industries, overcoming technical and business challenges along the way.I love the challenges that come with building companies in fintech and crypto.I'm also a pilot: gliders and airplanes.
