Research and develop new medical reasoning system that recognizes spoken data, converts to SNOMED codes using third party NLP engine, and automatically populates appropriate FHIR resource objects to save data to EHR patient record. Extensive use of graph based knowledge systems.

Independent software contractor specializing in medical imaging and information, FHIR, DICOM, and .net software.* Developed software to perform computational reasoning on medical information, using SNOMED, FHIR, LOINC, and RadLex.* Sole S/W developer for a new medical Diagnostic Grade Printer. The printer is utilizing a technology that has not yet been used for Medical Imaging, and work involved both hardware printer control and intimate knowledge of this print technology.* Designed and implemented subsystems for new truck fleet communications system. Worked with Satellite, Cellular, and 802.11b communications systems. System was developed using a highly modular web services distributed architecture. Application was written in C#/.net.* Updated and completed Medical Imaging Application that displayed and printed DICOM images and performed image manipulation (windowing/leveling-etc). Application was written in C#/.net with some critical components written in C++. * Architected and implemented firmware to control 7 single board 68040 VME computers to provide concurrent data sampling and real time servo-hydraulic feedback and control. Extensive TCP-IP/Socket programming for data collection and control. Designed and implemented object oriented distributed object server/message passing system in C++. (C++, Assembly, PSOS, and Socket). System controlled multiple high capacity hydraulic systems with more than 4000 instantaneous horsepower available.

Coordinated all software/firmware for 3M and non-3M development teams. Identified S/W tasks and scheduling requirements. Performed reviews of requirements, designs, code, and testing. Antares product won 3M Golden Step Award. All projects were performed in parallel, with much software and hardware in common.
