New-age media cum community for GenZ, focused on modern user experience and solving content reachability at a broad level.An individual on average consumes only a very small finite % of total daily recurring consumable content from the Internet due to a variety of reasons, number one being lack of footprint.A team of five members, a garage startup, converted the home into a proper office, where the team stayed together for a few months and worked as if there was no tomorrow. First-hand experience in setting core processes, managing cash burn, and shaping vision as per market response. Iterated three times, each improved the app experience drastically, leading to decent MAU and good retention, couldn't crack content generation at scale and hence had to suspend the product just before early PMF.

Got introduced to Neel, Co-Founder and a friend for a lifetime.Joined and ran a young service startup with the sole purpose of building a future company's tech product.During this tenure, we built several client products on different technologies - MERN, headless CMS like Strapi, and also powerful Magento.Managing and training a team, hiring, executing projects, and business communications, helped me grow, think differently, and instilled a lot of confidence.Both me and Neel, brainstormed several concepts and ideas for a future product on a daily basis, and discussed startups and business models, in this way, we consumed information, kept ourselves motivated and inspired towards building our own tech product.

Got the job opportunity via college placement to work in a medium-scale service company, though the people and company both were solid, the technology stack and business nature didn't impress me.I quickly realized I won't be able to happily survive the non-dynamic, and monotonous setup. Also, I saw technology was taking turn, towards a complex, powerful web stack (MERN), hence left the company for better opportunities that align with my ambitions.Made me realize, I have a solid risk-taking ability, love challenges and can connect dots logically.

Got introduced to the startup ecosystem.Ran a startup for a brief year during engineering, and the vision was to make costly engineering books accessible at cheap or no cost to students via renting model.We launched successfully and ran for a semester but it was hectic to manage end-to-end supply with college responsibilities, had to shut it down later. Super thankful to friends in my college group, who helped me launch, and deliver books, and did loads of other work.Got introduced to YourStory, Inc42, Crunchbase, AngelList, and multiple groups where I started learning about startups and went deeper.If you are a college student and reading this, here's my 2 cents:1. Don't run a physical business or anything that has an offline requirement, it's almost impossible to manage with college (a complete software company might be manageable)2. You need skills, not an option, I had internet exposure and a bit of experience building a website/app, so we were able to launch (considering you will launch software/internet consumer product)3. Super low on resources, think before starting up, unless your dad is rich, you need to be smart and optimize on spending4. Don't startup thinking big, take small steps, and run it as a side project slowly and by end of the college year make sure you are profitable or investment ready5. Startup ecosystem is now matured enough, take help of micro VCs like Antler, Titan Capital, 2 AM and also incubators, who can give you direction and resources

Humble beginnings, From first static website to a $100 pay-check.The early days of diploma college, where I experimented across different areas of the Internet, out of interest and to earn pocket money in the process, gave me a solid base. The Internet and the Web now have drastically improved, from tools to methodologies everything has become powerful and lighter though complex.1. Dreamweaver days: An IDE and early way of developing a responsive website, developed websites and also created a youtube tutorial on developing responsive websites, 2 hours of recorded playlist2. Phonegap days: Hybrid app development when first introduced was like magic, today we develop via React Native, in earlier days it used to be Phonegap (now Cordova) with limited hardware accessibility, but powerful enough to develop a dynamic app. I developed and deployed a devotee network for the Iskcon community as a free initiative3. Admob days: Now Adsense, previously Admob was the monetization network for apps, I got my first $100 paycheck, later in multiples to run ads on a few apps that I deployed on the store.4. First dynamic site: Developed a full-fledged PHP-based e-commerce for a friend's startup BeingMofo.com, deployed on the cloud, and received 1000+ orders (developed in a matter of 2 weeks with no experience, no framework)5. Notable Apps: Highongames, crossing 100k+ downloads. Handyshot, a screenshot tool with 10k+ downloads.Made me realize, I am a doer and curious being.
