Providing leadership and driving the implementation of the Lean Methodology for the business as per the transformation plan. Key aspect of the role is to partner with the organisation to maximise the efficiency, effectiveness of processes and value streams, the development, execution and cascading of the lean leadership framework across multiple organisational levels. This entails overseeing the reviewing and evaluating the business’ quality of financial value uplift and associated business improvement.

- Lead the integration, implementation and fulfilment of Economic Development strategic objectives by ensuring consistent implementation of the strategy throughout the sourcing activities.- Provide guidance on B-BBEE and Local Content requirements throughout the Sourcing Community and to the Suppliers.- Conduct monthly visits to all strategic suppliers, to monitor and report on commitments implementation progress.- Produce monthly spend analysis and reports to ensure suppliers commitment are in line with sourcing spend and objectives.- Manage supplier’s commitments database, update on a regular basis the implementation progress, highlight short comings, produce strategic overview enabling proper planning.- Ensure Economic Development policies adhered to in all tender documents and sourcing activities, which cover Local Content, Rail-Related Skills Development, Job Creation, Preferential Procurement and other B-BBEE elements.- Assist with identification of Exempted Micro Enterprises (turnover less than R10 Million) and Qualifying Micro Enterprises (turnover between R10 Million and R50 Million) suppliers that are either Black-owned and/or Black-women owned. - Evaluate the accuracy of the B-BBEE certification and Black/Black-women ownerships of all suppliers participating in Gibela’s sourcing activities.- Support Gibela’s license to operate by ensuring accurate record keeping of all suppliers’ B-BBEE credentials to enhance compliance with the prevailing B-BBEE requirements.- Ensure full traceability of the supplier’s commitments and performance.

Manage all recoveries of Acknowledgement Of Liability (AOL) for both Insurance and traffic fines. - Ensure national fleet department meets its Schedule Of Authority (SOA) - Ensure that Audit and SOA levels are met. - Ensure health and safety objectives are met. - Provide accurate Annual Operating Plan (AOP) data with trend analysis for budgets annually. - Conduct fleet audits. - Maintenance of the national fleet listing and route number allocation - Assist with route engineering projects and work together with the Simba Sales Productivity Team - Scheduling of services for the National Fleet - Manage direct reports’ personal growth and development through applying the necessary coaching techniques, providing guidance on choice of internal training programs and applying the PDR and CDAP programs appropriately.
