Managed privately held healthcare company in Southern California. Expanded the company and turned it around. Instituted a variety of forward-looking practices, managed a diverse team of professionals and enhanced operational efficiency, productivity and morale of the company. In less than three years, tripled the value of the company and sold for a big profit. Successfully spearheaded the “Due Diligence” process to complete the sale.

• Provided vision and leadership to this national organization to foster increased participation and contribution to the US economy by Indian-Americans and Indian American businesses through partnerships both in the United States and in India. Promoted entrepreneurship, business growth, and international trade; Established bridges between entrepreneurs, small businesses, government agencies and major corporations in United States and India; Built alliances with trade organizations and chambers of commerce in the two countries; Conducted annual conventions and special events to promote networking and liaison between businesses in United States and India. • Successfully mediated the signing of MoU in January 2007 between U.S. Small Business Administration and the Government of India in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce, New Delhi, India.• Developed excellent working relationships and signed MoU with U.S. SBA; U.S. Department of Energy; U.S. Department of Agriculture; U.S. Department of Commerce/MBDA; U.S. Department of Transportation; U.S. Department of Interior; U.S. EPA; State Governments.

Negotiated and signed the Strategic Alliance Partnership Agreement with NELCO (Tata Group),and led the company’s business development efforts successfully.

Joined the World Bank when I was a student. Developed the “Bank-Group-Guidelines for Project Completion Reports” used in post-project evaluation of the World Bank Group financed and or implemented projects. Prepared over200 multi-million-dollar project reports on Project Completion/Evaluation; Sector specific studies; Special Studies; and Management Policy Review studies. On deputation from the World Bank from 1979-82 at the request of Asian Development Bank, Manila: Assisted with settingup of the Monitoring and Evaluation Systems. Reviewed Policies and Procedures in the Budget, Personnel, Training& Management Systems Department and proposed recommendations.
