Data Science Department does almost everything related to Data Science in the company: from collecting data to model training and serving.I am the engineering manager for all developers in the department (about 10 people). My main responsibilities:– Support and evaluate performance of developers;– Manage professional development of developers;– Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed;– Supervise activities between teams;– Communicate and collaborate with other managers.

Dedicated team for Data Science infrastructure was formed and I became its tech lead. Nowadays there are 3 C# developers in team.Our main projects:– Crowdsourcing platform;– Feature store;– Vector database;– Web crawler.We use data storages like PostgreSQL, MongoDB and ClickHouse. We use the event sourcing pattern and Apache Kafka as the main event storage.

I began to work in Data Science Department. Back in the days it was a small team (about 6-8 people) and I wrote code for infrastructure as well as for business features.

Web Studio is a small team in the company, whose goal is to create various websites for the needs of the company (for example, business websites, forums, landing pages).I wrote code both on the back end (C#) and on the front end (pure JavaScript and jQuery). We used ASP.NET MVC 4 and MS SQL as database.
