I am a partner and managing director at AVP. We help enterprises select, implement, launch, and scale digital asset management (DAM) solutions so they can tame digital asset chaos. My adventures in DAM started in 2006 when I worked at the US Tennis Association and helped them select and begin implementation of their first DAM system.I’ve basically been a consultant ever since, helping organizations build capabilities that allow them to better leverage the media content that they create and collect. But I haven’t actually managed a DAM system since 2007 😉. So you can take what I say with a grain of salt. What I do bring is years of experience working with dozens of organizations, and seeing patterns, trends, and themes. Things that work and don’t work. Timeless problems that reappear in many different forms. My philosophy is that digital asset management as a practice exists so that organizations can get the most out of their ever expanding volumes of content. To me that means making sure assets are easy for people to find and put to good use. Easier said than done.So I kind of obsess about users. And I love learning from other disciplines that have a heavy user/customer-centric point of view, like UX research, product management, and marketing, and translating these learnings to DAM. In addition to thinking about DAM, I...- Am a wife, and mom to one son 🧒🏼 - Have a dog that we found while on vacation in Tahiti 🐕- Spend a lot of time in the gym strength training for my old lady body 🏋🏼- Once drove a small car from Europe to Mongolia 🚗
