I am an experienced educator, project manager, and entrepreneur with a diverse background in business administration, engineering, and international programs. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Management & Entrepreneurship and Associate Director of International Programs at Elizabeth City State University. In these roles, I am deeply committed to fostering inclusive learning environments and creating opportunities for students and faculty to thrive both academically and professionally.My extensive background in project management (PMP certified), has equipped me with the skills to teach and mentor students across a variety of disciplines, from entrepreneurship to organizational behavior. I have a strong interest in bridging theory and practice, particularly through interdisciplinary learning and global education initiatives.As the leader of ECSU’s International Professional Development seminars, I help faculty and students engage with global opportunities, cultivating a broad, culturally aware perspective. My work in international programs has allowed me to facilitate faculty-led seminars in Ghana and Panama and co-direct study abroad partnerships.Beyond academia, I have over 15 years of professional experience as an entrepreneur, engineer, and project manager, leading complex marine engineering projects. I specialize in solving technical challenges, managing project timelines, and developing cost-effective solutions. I am comfortable leading multi-disciplinary teams and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Through my entrepreneurial ventures and leadership roles in corporate and nonprofit sectors, I bring practical, real-world insights into the classroom, helping bridge the gap between theory and practice.
