About Kalle Varisvirta
As the CTO at Exove, I’m responsible for the technology division of 60 Developers, DevOps Engineers, Architects and Support Developers. With the help of 9 Competence Managers working with me, I hire, teach, grow and motivate the needed technology professionals to make Exove succeed in its targets.As part of the Management Team, I’m responsible for the personnel budget for Technology, but also take care of any CIO duties on the side. Currently I’m also representing the People Operations in the Management Team, although the main duties lie on the two awesome People Ops professionals working with me.I also lead Exove’s Architecture Team, which validates all the architectures we deliver to our clients. This allows me to keep up with the latest technologies and architectures, but also steer Exove’s technology offering to be aligned with the technology strategy.But the stuff I enjoy the most is working with our awesome clients, who bring new technological and architectural challenges to the table. I participate to selected projects as an architect and consult some clients with enterprise architectures, data management and other technology-related challenges they may be facing.As the face of Exove's technology, I've had talks in numerous conferences and seminars, talking about technology as well as its applications for improving businesses.Technology-wise, my heart is with open source, while I know the future is more and more on the cloud.
