Regional Sales- Trade, Corporate and Global clients

As Regional Head, I direct the end-to-end Trade Finance and FOREX business for the MSME segment across South India with the support of large teams located in 5 states i.e., Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, AP, Telangana and Kerala. Through a pragmatic approach, I ensure high-end portfolio quality and maintain profitability with a core focus on the regulatory landscape. I strategize and facilitate the roll-out of new products and policies in coordination with stakeholders for MSME clients.I am successful in leading business banking transactions across a variety of sectors, driving business strategy execution including a regional roadmap for product launch and deployment based on communications channels and operations. I ensure that Transaction Banking functions are fully compliant with all transaction banking-related regulatory requirements and adequately controls risk. With a support of a dedicated trade team of experienced business leaders, I facilitate trade and FOREX transactions, customized structuring & trade advisory functions.

In this assignment, I spearheaded the Transaction Banking Business (Cash Management & Trade Finance) right from the scratch across the southern states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. I offered products and solutions based on electronic banking and delivery channels for payment, cash management system for electronic, physical collections, & electronic delivery channels (Corporate, Small and Medium Enterprises Clients). In this assignment, multiple products/ solutions and processes were rolled out, given the nascent state of the TBG business in the Bank.

In this assignment, I was tasked to spearhead the cash management, and trade product sales for the Tamil Nadu market for various client segments (MNC, Local Large Corporate, SME). I offered transaction banking services for products such as Cash Management (structured payment, collection, escrow accounts, electronic banking channels) and led Trade Finance (export credit, import financing, structuring solutions under LCs, BGs and SBLCs, and Supply Chain Financing).

As AVP, I directed the acquisition of TBG-based new to bank multinational clients, through network referrals and prospect identification by local calling. By building strong relations with internal network stakeholders, I ensured speedy conversion of referrals, while acquiring segment income targets for Cash Management and Trade Finance for the MNC portfolio (Multinational Clients Space).e.

In this assignment, I secured mandates to ensure steep growth for portfolio building for Commercial Clients including a consistent growth of over 100% year-on-year revenues during the stint. I was accountable for overachieving sales targets for the number of clients acquired as well as income from these names.
