Responsibilities:• Preparing/checking/updating the project piping classes for all process and utility services.• Creating and maintaining all data sheets for process and utility valves.• Creating a list of piping special components, such as hoses and hose couplings, steam, traps, interlocks, safety valves, rupture discs, etc.….• Creating and maintaining data sheets for these piping special items.• Preparing Material Take-offs during different project phases.• Preparing piping material requisitions with all additional documents.• Reviewing offers from the vendors and creating technical bid evaluation and make the technical recommendation.• After placement of a purchase order, reviewing and approving vendors' documents.• Cooperation/liaising with the following departments: Piping Design and Stress, Process, Instrumentation, Procurement, Material Control, Inspection, and construction team.• Preparing Line List during different project phases.• Handling the project in AVEVA ERM & IRP software and preparing supporting reports during the project.• Communication and cooperation with 3D model Administrators to update the model with new and special components/sizes and handling all AVEVA ERM & IRP/PDMS-E3D issues.• Piping material internal cost estimation for proposals.• Analyzing, controlling piping material budget during different project phase.• Controlling Piping Material vendors’ documentations.• Technical procurement and technical negotiation with piping material manufacturers and suppliers.• Wall thickness calculation according to the project code.• Good knowledge and follow up new codes and standards for piping components and valves; ASME, ASTM, API, MSS, PIP and other industry standards.
