Directing, coordinating and supervising all aspects of pharmacy services within the location to support the departments mission of providing safe, appropriate, accessible, cost effective, high quality pharmacy services in a satisfying manner both to those who receive and those who provide the service. Additionally, accountable for area-wide program design, implementation, maintenance and evaluation responsibilities e.g. pharmacy improvement projects, acts as assistant to Service Area Manager, and assists in mentoring new supervisors. Other duties as assigned.

▪ Independently supervises central pharmacy operations as the daily Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for day, evening, and night shift rotations. ▪ Communicating with oncologists, neonatologists, intensivists, hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, and hospital leadership to improve patient outcomes. ▪ Ensuring that the pharmacy in operating within the bounds of applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, accreditation, and licensing requirements. ▪ Actively monitors, intervenes, adjusts, and documents with regard to collaborative practice drug therapy management (CDTM) protocols & works with key stakeholders for updating/improving protocols, policies, and procedures. ▪ Actively precepts pharmacy students for APPE institutional (general hospital) and internal medicine from Oregon State University (OSU), Pacific University, and Washington State University Schools of Pharmacy as an affiliate faculty. ▪ Staffing areas include but are not limited to: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease, Medical/Surgical Unit, Central Pharmacy, OR Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Glycemic Control Team. ▪ Actively participates as NICU and Oncology co-lead pharmacist to ensure the efficacious delivery of care, development & implementation of new processes/operations/workflows and resolving dynamic challenges. ▪ Interdepartmental in-service presentations, health care provider, nursing, management, and intradepartmental education. ▪ Interim emergency medicine lead pharmacist focusing on driving for stronger pharmacy presence, interventions, collaboration, and improving the quality of care provided to our members.

As part of my MCPHS University Master of Public Health degree program, candidates are required to complete at least 120 hours of public health practice experience. My experiences at the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) included, but not limited to, participation in multiple multidisciplinary (multistate) meetings, budget analysis, Drug Effectiveness Review Project (DERP), Pacific Northwest Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC), individual write ups, and a presentation. In accordance with the public health course, I also conducted a literature review and additional assignments as assigned.
