About Ken Brandt

I am an inaugural member of the Office of Ventures and Innovation at my agency. I spend most of my time assisting pilot programs and their owners into the enterprise. I coach and mentor teams trying to foster innovation and new ideas. Constant learning and improvement go hand in hand with this job and we not only teach our processes, but we utilize them ourselves within our offices. I helped to create the original I-Corps/Fast Forward curriculum based on the Business Model Canvas and Lean Startup methodologies, as well as teach a few courses. I have helped to run innovation experiences that are a competition for seed resources to anyone interested in creating a minimum viable product (MVP). This MVP can then be used to obtain more formal resources with the hopes of getting the idea into the enterprise. I have crafted methodologies for comparing and contrasting pilot programs and metrics used to determine value in a non-profit organization.

I am activity working on this project.I also now help run hackathons where we crowd source for ideas toward solving tough problems.
