I've been writing and performing music since age 12, working with young(er) people since 16, and writing for publications since 21. I'm 29 now. I've been officially doing contract/freelance marketing work since 2017, but I successfully marketed my music on a DIY basis for over a decade. I'm currently seeking a good full-time position in copywriting and/or content creation. My main instrument is bass, but I play some piano, guitar, drums, ukulele, and banjo, and I consider myself a singer/songwriter/generalist when it comes to music.I've tutored and taught, mostly in writing and language, in several settings, including Taipei, Taiwan and Shanghai, China. In 2013, I taught English literature at Cedar Shoals High School full-time while attending graduate school at UGA, then taught English overseas and stateside until 2016. I've also taught SAT prep courses since 2009 and am TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certified. In addition to working as a writing teacher, I've published dozens of feature articles for newspapers and magazines as a freelancer. I've been lucky to interview and write about some of my favorite performers, and I'm extremely proud of what I've incidentally accomplished in the entertainment business over the years. Since age fourteen, I've booked several tours and written/recorded/financed three studio albums. I'm also priviledged to work with the Songs for Kids Foundation every year.Generally, I plan to continue drawing upon and adding to my unique experiences, skills, and accomplishments for as long as I can. I love thinking creatively and critically, and I always try to inspire that same spirit among my colleagues, audiences, and students.
