Company founder Frances Kweller launched the First in Family Fund, a 501C3 nonprofit, and welcomes donors to support our cause. Kweller Prep was developed by Frances Kweller, an attorney-at-law and daughter of immigrants. Frances graduated from New York University's Steinhardt School of Education and Hofstra University School of Law. Frances is a NYS Bar Association and the National Association for College Counseling (NACAC) member. Frances serves as an education news expert. She is interviewed regularly on national television and in newspapers.

The First In Family Fund, Inc, is a NYC and NYS registered 501C3 nonprofit charitable organization. It was created to provide free to low cost and/or bilingual tutoring, mentorship, and support services for middle and high school students, i.e.: the "First ones in their Family" expected to go to top colleges and graduate school programs. The First in Family Fund plans to solicit grants and donations and to host fundraisers www.FirstinFamilyFund.com. A solid educational foundation can open doors throughout a student’s life. Unfortunately, systemic and financial barriers can often stand in the way of quality education for some of New York City’s brightest minds.The First in Family Fund is a scholarship funding company that aims to remove and reduce these barriers for immigrant families in NYC. We support students who are the first in their families to pursue higher education, providing top-tier services from Kweller Prep at little to no cost. Kweller Prep programs also offer support for students entering and graduating from New York City’s most competitive high schools.Kweller Prep’s founder, Frances Kweller, Esq., drew on her own experiences as a first-generation student when developing her competitive preparatory programs. Kweller desires to “fill the gaps” and remove barriers to education by providing scholarship support to students through the First in Family Fund.

Frances Kweller graduated with honors from Hofstra Law School and New York University's Steinhardt School of Education. Kweller is a family law attorney and child advocate, specializing in the preparation, legal enforcement, and appeals of 504 and IEP plans for students with special needs and learning disabilities. She interned at the Queens County Family Court and Civil Court for three years and has vast experience fighting for student rights and assuring them proper test accommodations as legally protected under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
