I have spent over 20 years in public education K-12 as a teacher, an assistant principal, a program coordinator and most recently overseeing all advanced programs (Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, Dual Enrollment and Special Programs) for a large school division. I have extensive experience in leadership, creating programs and opportunities for stakeholders, manageing and implementing products and creating structures for success. Working with diverse populations has allowed me the ability to view tasks, challenges on both the macro and micro level to ensure that all angles are addressed and decisions are made in the best interest of the stakeholder and the organization. Here are a few of my leadership lessons/philiosophies:1. First and foremost positive relationships built on trust are the key to success. 2. As a leader it is not my responsibility to hold all the knowledge; knowledge should be shared.3. There is room for all of us! Another person's success does not diminish my own success- we can all thrive. 4. My focus as a leader is to get results and to grow my team to be leaders, that means providing my team with opportunities to build their own capacity.I am ready to take my skills and apply them to new opportunities.
