Involved in the design and development of Ignition, Inductive Automation’s modular SCADA/HMI platform, from its inception to its current version. Lead development of all OPC UA client, server, and driver products. Designed and implemented an ANSI/ISA-18.2-2009-inspired alarm and alarm notification system. Architected and lead development of Ignition’s new file-based project system and the upgrade logic from legacy project system. Continually driving the adoption of software industry best practices such as static code analysis, mandatory code reviews and VCS branching strategies that enable them, and increasing unit/integration testing coverage. Active member of the OPC Foundation Unified Architecture and Security working groups and regular attendee of the OPC interoperability testing events.

I’ve been involved in the development of Ignition, Inductive Automation’s modular SCADA/HMI platform, from its inception to its current version. Along the way, my work has included:- Development of the Ignition modular industrial platform- Integration of Python/Jython into Ignition- Work on the alarming and notification backend- Work on the sequential function charts backend - A full OPC UA client and server implementation- Drivers for the OPC UA server, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modbus, DNP3, Omron, and more- Being Product Owner for a team using SCRUM
