Human Resources Generalist
Current- Support employees and leadership of 7 locations nationwide in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and terminations- Identify, develop, and implement employer branding initiatives such as a careers page video, company culture word cloud, careers page employee profiles, and engaging employees in writing reviews on Glassdoor- Develop and implement engagement programs, including stay interviews, a new hire "buddy" program, and new hire orientation- Audit and update internal job descriptions for accuracy, verify correct FLSA Exemption status and rule, verify correct EEO Code, and add a standard physical requirements section for office and warehouse positions- Create Interviewing 101 training course and job-based interview guides for internal use- Manage recruitment efforts, including pre-screening resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews, and occasionally assisting in the interviewing process- Manage the onboarding process, including creating offer letters, processing background checks and drug tests through third-party vendor, initiating new hire compliance documents, and reaching out to new hires for feedback- Create and distribute a weekly new hire/termination report and create a monthly turnover report for upper management- Conducted an internal I-9 audit and continuously manage I-9 compliance- Participate in internal investigations- Complete exit interviews, prepare termination paperwork, and answer questions regarding severance- Assist with company events, contests, newsletters, and updating employee Facebook group- Create checklists and instructions on important HR operations- Maintain compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations such as driver DQ files and drug and alcohol testing program
