I am a current senior at Indiana University-Bloomington pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. I am currently working under Dr. John Patton in his virology lab studying rotavirus molecular biology and pathogenesis. I have experience in biotechnology research studying disulfide bond formation in bacteria under Dr. Cristina Landeta. In the future, I plan to obtain a professional degree in microbiology with an end goal of working in virology research and academia. I am driven by my passion for science and strong sense of empathy. I hope to continually expand my knowledge, help others through my work, and make an impact in the world of research.
