Well first off, I’ve always been more of a numbers guy than a writer, so this probably won’t be the most elegant thing you read today. But here it goes…Former engineer… held various positions in the utility and power industry but I realized the 8-5 life wasn’t for me (Great if it is for you, not trying to put that down). Took that analytical mindset to the entrepreneurial space which really just meant 1 thing… I didn’t want to take a lot of risk. I’m a big advocate of the side hustle space, and someone that practiced it throughout my career as well. You get the best of both worlds… some security and the ability to take care of your necessities through your job, and the chance to really build something more significant outside of it that can really give you some choice down the road. I also feel strongly in the importance of diversification (especially these days)… I’ve been an investor and consultant with a tech start up, own a rental property (not naive enough to consider myself “in real estate” though with just the one), do some part time project management work but my biggest focus and passion is with Kornerstone, where we guide and coach aspiring entrepreneurs how to take that step into the world of business ownership through the side hustle space. Lastly a big believer in having intention around self growth. You can’t give value to others if you don’t gain it yourself first. So you’ll often find me looking for ways to level up, most of which through networking. The value of a good community can be endless. And for some of my personal interests...▪️Family. Any time I get with my wife and daughter is a blessing. ▪️Spreadsheets... haha, just had to. Cmon, who doesn’t love a good spreadsheet!▪️Travel and culture. Love to experience as much as possible and always try and get out when we travel for speaking engagements. ▪️Sports. Particularly watching Liverpool. No doubt you can find me with a pint in my hand during most of their games watching them destroy whoever they’re playing. ▪️Boating. I grew up in Door County. If you haven’t heard of it, look it up. Gorgeous place and spent almost every weekend on the water when I was young. And still one of my favorite things to do.
