Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida (CLS) is a full-service civil legal aid law firm that promotes equal access to justice, which is a core American value. Approximately 50-80% of low-income Americans’ legal needs go unmet. CLS provides professional legal aid to help low-income people protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families. CLS provides legal assistance and advice to homeowners and renters on a wide range of issues, including landlord-tenant disputes, subsidized housing, unlawful detainers, ejectments, reverse mortgage foreclosures, mortgage foreclosures, and more. By offering our aid and expertise on these issues, CLS helps Central Florida’s families, veterans, seniors, and other vulnerable members of our community stay in their homes and avoid homelessness.The Fair Housing Testing Coordinator is responsible for:Administering rental, sales, lending, and other Fair Housing tests as determined by program needs to investigate compliance with fair housing laws as defined by the Fair Housing Act.Developing testing strategies and selecting appropriate testers for each test. Employing various methods to assist in determining where to conduct tests including scouting and research.Creating test assignments and providing appropriate and thorough instructions for each test.Analyzing test reports, debriefing notes, and other information to report to Fair Housing Unit for evaluation of potential housing discrimination.Cultivating relationships with community partners for client referrals to identify opportunities for community involvement.

Assisting individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain employment, the Employment Specialist (ES) is responsible for creating and implementing a plan for each assigned customer in an effort to find employment that fits their job goal, and interests and is a reasonable distance from their home. The customer’s plan is to include actions to aid in the retention of the position for a designated period of time. The Employment Specialist shall follow company instruction and provide a level of service to its customers that meet and exceeds the standards of excellence.

The Adult Job Coach will help find employment opportunities that are suitable for a client, support the client in following up on job applications, attending interviews, aid in the hands-on training of the client and will provide transportation for the client as needed.
