I FAILED AT LIFE – TWICE!Or at least it looked like failures to me.I had two life goals: 1) graduate with a degree and 2) serve my country.As a high school graduate, I wanted to graduate from Texas A&M University with a degree in computer science. That was going well until it didn’t. A variety of curveballs were thrown at me, and I didn’t achieve my goal. It really hurt at the time, but I picked myself up and kept working hard. I switched schools and earned my Associate’s Degree. Things were going well.Then failure number two.I wanted to serve my country as a member of the US Air Force and become a ground linguist. I did extremely well on my Defense Language Aptitude Battery scoring a 123. Then I learned that the Air Force wasn’t for me. I didn’t let that stop me. I applied to Liberty University, was accepted within a day, and was living off-campus two weeks later. Now, after a year and a half of hard work and perseverance I have graduated Liberty with a Business degree and looking forward to starting my career. I have learned a lot along the way.I still want to serve my country.
