About Keith Nunez
I am a firm believer that who we are as individuals are a direct product of our roots and life experiences. I am a native of the Bronx, New York, am of Dominican descent and the oldest of 6 siblings. At a young age I had to learn how to navigate being a first generation Latino and the only English speaker in my family. After undergoing the challenges of being an inner city student of low socioeconomic background I developed a drive to fly away from the Bronx and, take the first steps to changing and enhancing his family's legacy. This motivated me to go to college at SUNY Buffalo State. It was at this institution where I received my B.A in English and M.S in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration. I have been serving the underprivileged community for years and is able to foster meaningful connections with a wide range of individuals. I pride myself on my ability to nurture positivity in everyone I comes across and giving my all to support their overall growth. I am an advocate for all students, with special emphasis on those of the EOP program, as I understand the tools that the people of my community need to succeed. I am in support of all individuals and communities, and strive to create a diverse and supportive culture here at the Educational Opportunities Program. My love for student affairs grows further with every student whose life I impact. I am a young Hispanic man from the Bronx with a dream to help other underprivileged students to become successful. I am well aware that this is a big dream but I also know that if I believe it I can achieve it.
