Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a nonprofit organization that delivers an objectives-based mentorship program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies.At our Atlantic Canadian-based site, we run two specialized streams: Oceans and Prime (tech-agnostic). I work as a Venture Manager and am the site's Recruitment Lead and Oceans Stream Lead.

Forsta Varme Technologies Inc. is a thermal management solutions provider whose technologies help companies reimagine what is possible in modern devices.I worked in a management role at this early stage advanced material start-up that spun out from industry R&D. In this role, I led a team of scientists, engineers, and technicians to bring lab-scale technologies through to commercialization. I developed the company's business plans, raised funding, and led the initial growth of the company.

Canum Nanomaterials Inc. is a fullerene manufacturing company born out of research at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, with roots leading back to Rice University where fullerenes were a Nobel Prize-winning discovery. Fullerenes are a carbon nanomaterial used in flexible organic solar cells, composite materials, health & medicine supplements, and many more new and emerging products. With a team of former classmates and professors, I co-founded this chemical manufacturing start-up company to commercialize technology that we developed at UNB. As the CEO, I led the design and commissioning of a pilot-scale manufacturing process including the process equipment, control systems, quality management, product packaging, and more. I developed the company's business plan and raised over $1M in funding towards expansion and technical development. As the lead of the company's business development efforts, I helped to obtain commitments for over $1.5M in recurring annual sales from multiple international customers.
